BAYERN EYEING FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN

German champions Bayern Munich are eyeing a fifth straight win at the start of this season ahead of their league game with Borussia Moenchengladbach at home. Bayern Munich will play hosts to Gladbach on Saturday evening with the hope of maintaining their perfect start to the season. Bayern Munich have won all their four games this season and they can make it five successive wins by beating Borussia Moenchengladbach at home. They started the season with the win over RB Leipzig vin the German Super Cup before they recorded a win in each of their three league games this season.

Senegalese international Sadio Mane is the main arrival at Bayern Munich this summer following the move from Merseyside giants Liverpool. Mane was brought in from Liverpool where he had one year left on his last contract with the club and he could be the ideal replacement for Polish star Robert Lewandowski. Poland international Lewandowski left the Bavarian giants to sign for Spanish heavyweights Barcelona in a deal said to be worth around €50m. The former Borussia Dortmund and Lech Poznan striker had a year to run on his final contract at the Allianz Arena.

In the German Super Cup, new signing Mane was on target as Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig were involved in an eight-goal thriller. The Bavarian giants emerged 5-3 winners at the end of the game.

Bavarian giants Bayern Munich started their league campaign just after the German Super Cup. In their first league game, Bayern thrashed hosts and Europa League holders Eintracht Frankfurt 6-1 with Mane getting one of the goals. Jamal Musiala and Thomas Mueller scored for Bayern Munich in the first half on the way to a 2-0 win at home to VFL Wolfsburg to make it two straight league wins and three straight wins in all competitions. Mane then scored twice in the 7-0 thrashing of hosts VFL Bochum to make it four goals in four matches since his move from Liverpool this summer. With his goals, the Bavarian giants sealed a third successive league win at the start of the new season and a fourth win of the new season in all competitions.
